Lorex Terms of Service, Limited Hardware Warranty

Secure Home Supply is a Lorex Pro Business Partner. All Lorex Product purchased through Secure Home Supply comes with a three (3) year limited Warranty versus the standard one (1) year limited warranty if purchased through national retailers or Lorex directly.

LOREX TERMS OF SERVICE, LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY

Lorex Corporation ("Lorex") warrants, to the original purchaser (the "Purchaser" or "You") only, that this Lorex branded product (the "Product"), if properly installed and used thereafter in strict accordance with the use and care guidelines provided in the instruction manual, shall be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. This Lorex warranty (“the Warranty”) is available to Purchasers in the US and Canada who purchased Products directly through the Lorex for Business website at Pro.Lorex.com and Lorex.com/.ca. Lorex only warrants Products packed in the original Lorex packaging. Please note that the limited warranty only applies to hardware components and not to any software elements of Lorex Products.

Length of Warranty

The Warranty covers the Product for three (3) years from the documented date of purchase through the Lorex for Business Partner Program. Some exceptions apply. See below 'Warranty Period Exceptions' section for details. The purchase date must be documented with either an original sales receipt from Lorex or by credit card receipts or statements.

Warranty Period Exceptions:

To the extent product packaging and/or pro.Lorex.com website content indicates a different warranty period, the different warranty period will apply—subject to the other terms and conditions of the Lorex Terms of Service and Lorex Hardware Warranty. In addition, certain products may be subject to longer or shorter warranty periods, or may be excluded from warranty coverage.

 Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Cameras: Moving parts such as motors, bearings, etc., are covered for six (6) months. Note: All other PTZ camera components are covered for one (1) year.

  • 1,000ft Bulk Cat6 UTP Ethernet Cable (Model ACR-U11W-E):Due to the nature of this product, returns will not be accepted if the seal is broken or compromised, or if the product shows signs of use or alteration—except in cases of confirmed defects.
  • Mobile (Solar-Powered) Security Camera Trailer System:This product is not eligible for coverage under the Lorex Extended Warranty or the Lorex for Business Warranty.
  • Final Sale Products:Products marked as Final Sale are not eligible for coverage under the Lorex Extended Warranty or the Lorex for Business Warranty.
  • Accessories and Consumables:All other components, accessories, and consumables included with the product in its original packaging are warranted for a period of ninety (90) days from the documented date of purchase.

 

Lorex's Obligations

Lorex's obligations under the Warranty are limited, at its sole option, either to:

  • Repair the Product found by Lorex to be defective; or
  • Replace parts or, in Lorex's sole discretion, the Product if it is found by Lorex to be defective.

Products may be repaired with new or refurbished parts, and may be replaced with new or refurbished products, of the same or similar model as the replaced Product, or of materially equivalent or superior quality, at the sole discretion of Lorex. Repaired and replacement Products will be warranted to the Purchaser for the remainder of the original three-year warranty period . Any replaced Product or part becomes the property of Lorex.

Advanced Replacement

Lorex partners with Gold and Platinum status are additionally eligible for Lorex’s Advanced Replacement service. If an issue with a Product arises within the initial 90 days following purchase, on receipt of Purchaser’s notification, Lorex will promptly issue a replacement Product and will send a shipping label via email for Purchaser to return the Defective Product. Purchaser will be required to provide a valid credit card for the advanced Replacement service. For issues occurring beyond the first 90 days, a deposit or hold may be required for Advanced Replacement.
 
Return labels remain valid for 30 days. After the label expires, Lorex will process payment for the replacement Product using the credit card on file for which we had previously placed a hold.

Warranty Limitations, Exclusions & Disclaimers

The Warranty is exclusively available to purchases directly from Lorex through the Lorex Business Hub at Pro.Lorex.com and Lorex.com/.ca. Purchases from any other supplier, retailer online market place, or sales channel of any kind, including Amazon, Costco and eBay, are not covered by the Warranty.

The Warranty is only available to residents of the US and Canada.

The Warranty is invalidated if non-Lorex accessories are or have been used in connection with the Product, or if any modification or repair is made to the Product by any service depot or other person not authorized by Lorex. This warranty does not apply to defects in or damages to the Product caused by (i) negligent use of the Product,(ii) misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, repair or improper installation of the Product, (iii) electrical short circuits or transients, (iv) heat, humidity, moisture or temperatures beyond product specifications (v) use of replacement parts not supplied by Lorex (vi) improper Product maintenance, or (vii) accident, fire, flood or other Acts of God.

The Warranty does not extend to firmware or software accompanying, included with, or embedded in the Products ("Software") or mobile apps provided by Lorex for the operation of Products ("Apps") nor does it extend to any cloud service provided by Lorex ("Cloud Service"). Software, Cloud Service and Apps are provided "as is" and Lorex does not guarantee that they will be error-free or function without interruption.

The Warranty does not cover data loss, or costs related to data recovery., nor does it cover any costs relating to removal, replacement, or installation of any Product (regardless of whether the Product is found by Lorex to be defective), or Software installed on the Purchaser’s computer.

Lorex reserves the right to make changes to the Products without incurring any obligation to modify any Product that has already been manufactured. The Warranty does not cover any alteration or damage to any other software that may be or may become resident on the Purchaser’s system as a result of installing the Software.

Binding Arbitration Agreement, and Class Waiver

BY KEEPING THIS PRODUCT FOR LONGER THAN 30 DAYS YOU AGREE THAT BINDING ARBITRATION SHALL BE YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR ANY DISPUTES CONCERNING, ARISING FROM, OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO (I) YOUR PURCHASE AND USE OF THIS PRODUCT, AND/OR (II) LOREX'S OBLIGATIONS UNDER ITS TERMS OF SERVICE AND THE WARRANTY. BY KEEPING THIS PRODUCT FOR LONGER THAN 30 DAYS YOU ALSO AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PURSUE, OR PARTICIPATE IN, JOINT, COLLECTIVE, OR CLASS CLAIMS IN ANY FORM CONCERNING, ARISING FROM, OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO (I) YOUR PURCHASE AND USE OF THIS PRODUCT, AND/OR (II) LOREX'S OBLIGATIONS UNDER ITS TERMS OF SERVICE AND THE WARRANTY. PLEASE VISIT LOREX.COM FOR INSTRUCTIONS RELATING TO LOREX'S RETURN POLICY AND HOW YOU MAY RETURN THE PRODUCT AND REJECT THE TERMS SET FORTH ABOVE.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED IN THE WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER. THE WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE, AND LOREX NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OR SERVICE OF THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL LOREX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCT OR ARISING FROM THE MALFUNCTIONING OR NON-FUNCTIONING OF THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS, DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY, INJURIES TO OR DEATH OF ANY PERSON, AND CLAIMS AGAINST THE PURCHASER BY ANY THIRD PERSON, EVEN IF LOREX HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. LOREX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCT OR THE SOFTWARE, CLOUD SERVICE OR APPS WILL OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCT OR SOFTWARE EXCEPT THAT WHICH IS INDICATED BY LOREX. LOREX IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARACTERISTICS OF THIRD PARTY HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE WHICH MAY AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE LOREX SOFTWARE INCLUDED.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, LOREX DOES NOT MAKE ANY CLAIMS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE PRODUCT'S POTENTIAL, ABILITY OR EFFECTIVENESS TO PREVENT, MINIMIZE, OR IN ANY WAY AFFECT PERSONAL OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR INJURY. LOREX IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS OR THEFT RELATED TO THE PRODUCT OR TO ITS USE FOR ANY HARM, WHETHER PHYSICAL OR MENTAL RELATED THERETO. ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR STATEMENTS, WHETHER WRITTEN OR VERBAL, BY SALESPEOPLE, RETAILERS, DEALERS OR DISTRIBUTORS TO THE CONTRARY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED BY LOREX, AND DO NOT AFFECT THIS PROVISION OF THEWARRANTY. THE WARRANTY IS VALID ONLY IF THE PRODUCT IS PURCHASED BY THE PURCHASER DIRECTLY FROM LOREX

State/Provincial Law

The Purchaser may have other rights under state, provincial, or federal laws and where the whole or part of any item of the Warranty is prohibited by such laws, it shall be deemed null and void. The remainder of the Warranty shall remain in effect.

The Products covered by the Warranty must be used as intended for the warranty to apply. Without limit to the foregoing, some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages for certain products supplied to consumers or the limitation of liability for personal injury, so the above limitations, exclusions and disclaimers may be limited in their application to you. If implied warranties are not allowed to be excluded in their entirety for any reason, they will be limited to the duration of the applicable written warranty in this document. The Warranty gives you specific legal rights which may vary depending on local law.

Product Registration

In order to obtain service of any kind, the Purchaser must register the Product online at www.lorex.com by activating the warranty in their Lorex account.

Obtaining Service

Should the Product require service under this warranty, you must provide Lorex with a copy of proof of purchase in the form of the original dated bill of sale, receipt or invoice and product registration information. Lorex will not perform any of its obligations under the Warranty without the required information as stated above. To make a claim on this warranty, please visit www.lorex.com for further details. If returning the Product to Lorex, you must obtain a Return Authorization number, and you must assume the risk of damage or loss during shipment. You must use the original packaging or equivalent protective packaging and you must pay postage. Lorex will cover the cost of shipping the replacement product back to you.

Limited Technical Support

The Lorex limited hardware warranty period covers three (3) years of telephone technical support. Product registration is mandatory prior to obtaining technical support. After the warranty period has expired, technical support services will continue to be available and a fee may be applicable. Terms of limited technical support are subject to change at the discretion of Lorex.

Always use discretion when installing video and/or audio surveillance equipment especially when there is perceived privacy. Inquire regarding federal, state and/or local regulations applicable to the lawful installation of video and/or audio recording or surveillance. Party consent may be required.

At Secure Home Supply, we don’t push 24/7 monitoring subscriptions or upsells. Our advanced camera systems are designed to put you in controlno ongoing fees required.

We provide expert guidance and professional installation throughout the Houston metro area, including Cypress, Katy, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, and more. For projects outside this area, we often make exceptions for customers who prefer to work directly with us from start to finish.

We offer two tiers of professional camera installation:

  • Standard Installation: Cables are securely run along the exterior of your home, typically tucked under the eaves. This option is cost-effective, low impact, and clean in appearance.

  • Premium Installation: Cables are routed through attic space or wall cavities for a fully concealed, high-end finish—ideal for those who want the most discreet and protected setup.
